Fishmarker.com has been in the development mode since 1996 as an idea that was far too impractical to put in action. Owner and huge fisherman John Nori dealt with failed attempt after failed attempt to bring this concept to life, with the greatest problems being storage and ease of use. However, much like a fisherman he patiently tried to figure out how to make this work. In 2008, his frustrations came to an abrupt halt when smart phones and apps came along. In 2009 John began to assemble a team of individual talents from around the world to bring Fishmarker.com to life. With the ability to use your smart phone as not only a gps, but a conduit to our community, Fishmarker.com showed great promise. Today, Fishmarker.com is self creating. As more and more users from around the world create, share, rate and save, our ever expanding community builds. Where we go from here is up to you. We have created the environment, now it up to our users to decide.

But potentially the best feature of fishmarker.com is your ability to review others input on certain fishing spot at different times of the year and see what the fish are hitting on, what techniques were used and how you catch more fish with less guess work. With your Smartphone information from what bait to use to where to get a six pack on the water is right in the palm of your hand.
How it Works
Simply create a user account and begin to log your catches, you can upload pics, store gps coordinates, tell us how many fish you caught, on what, when, and would you go again. at this point it's up to you, share it or retain it for yourself. Or with your fishmarker.com account you can look up different destinations and put together a trip based on the rating of others by using a simple search feature.
How to Create a Marker
A fishing marker can be made right from your Smartphone app by selecting a marker at your current gps location, by dragging a pointer on a specific area or by manually inputting your gps locations. These marks can then later be searched along with thousands of others that people may have entered on the same body of water.

Through our web site users will be emailed when we can lock down a great deal on fishing equipment or a fishing service service (lodging, boat rental, guide service) for our users.
